HAWKS 2-10 NIHL BLAZE
The NIHL Blaze make it 4 wins in 5 with a 10-2 victory in Blackburn tonight.
A slow start by the NIHL Blaze drawing the 1st period 2 all. They came out for the second a different team taking the lead and continued from there.t

NIHL BLAZE 4-6 TIGERS

Despite putting in another solid performance the NIHL Blaze came up short against the Tigers.

In a game that could of gone either way it was the offensive firepower of the Tigers, who possess 3 of the leagues top 6 points scorers, that proved to be the difference.

NIHL BLAZE 3-4 SUTTON

A tight first period ended with Sting getting the first goal in the last minute. Sutton added their second 1/2 of the next period. Blaze pulled the game back to even in the third for Sutton to take the lead back shortly after. Despite pulling it back Sutton took the game in the final two minutes.

TIGERS 6-3 NIHL BLAZE

A short benched NIHL Blaze went down 6-3 in Telford tonight but they didn’t make it easy for the Tigers, shocking them with a 2-0 opening period.

The Tigers battled back in the 2nd which ended with the teams tied at 3-3

With only 11 skaters and 2 N/Ms the NIHL Blaze battled hard but two powerplay goals midway through the 3rd period swung the game and that’s how it would stay until the final minute when the Tigers scored again to win the final period 3-0 and secure 6-3 win, a win that extends their unbeaten run to 11 games and sees them move to the top of the league.

NIHL BLAZE 1 - 3 BULLDOGS

Despite outshooting the Bulldogs 61-31 the NIHL Blaze suffered a disappointing 3-1 loss to Bradford Bulldogs last night.

After conceding three goals in the first 12 minutes the NIHL Blaze used their timeout to regroup but despite dominating most of the 48 minutes that remained they only managed to find their way past the Bulldogs netminder once despite their 61 shots

NIHL BLAZE 3-4 ACES (OT)

The NIHL Blaze put in a solid team performance tonight and were unfortunate not to take two points, loosing 4-3 in overtime.

Trailing 2-1 going into the 3rd period the NIHL Blaze scored two powerplay goals to take a 3-2 lead with just under 9 minutes to play but they were unable to hang on, Aces equalising at 56:46....

A tense overtime saw both sides get chances but it was the Aces who managed to grab the winner, a long range shot beating Laverick in the NIHL Blaze net.

­STING 6-2 NIHL BLAZE

The NIHL Blaze were beaten 6-2 by Sutton Sting in Sheffield on Sunday afternoon.

With the academy’s U20 side playing in Nottingham the same evening and several other players unavailable the NIHL Blaze were severely short benched, icing only 12 players and 2 N/Ms.

However, despite the short bench they managed to hold the Sting to a 1-1 scoreline until the 36th minute before the short bench started to show.

Two late goals in the second period by Sting’s Scott Morris turned the tie.

­SENATORS 4-1 NIHL BLAZE

The NIHL Blaze were back in action at Ice Sheffield this time v Senators. Finnishing the 1st 1 down and tied at 1 each at the end of the 2nd. Abad start to the 3rd saw 3 unaswered goal by Senators secured the win. The game ended early at 4-1

BULLDOGS 4-3 NIHL BLAZE (OT)

A defensive slip towards the end of the 1st left the home team leading by one goal. The end of the second NIHL Blaze had the uper hand at 1 2 . At the end of regular time the scoreline was tied at 3 all. NIHL2 Player of the Month, Ryan Kemp scored the decisive goal.in Overtime getting Bradford the bonus point

The NIHL Blaze ran out comfortable 16-2 winners tonight against Deeside.

A dominant second period saw the NIHL Blaze score nine times without reply.Goals coming from Kyle Nash (4), Luke Curtis (3), Zac Chamberlain (2), Sam Chandler (2), Jordan Bloom, Sam Dean, Austin Mitchell-King, Jordan Liddell & Sam Prosser.
